Dr Latif Murji grew up in Scarborough. His family is originally from Tanzania but his Swahili is not so good. He also launched the VaxFacts Clinic, a judgment-free phone line where people can speak to a doctor about COVID-19 vaccination.

I am from Ghana and have lived in Canada for 30 years. I’m a wife and mother of three children. In addition to being Community Engagement Worker and Lead Ambassador with the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario, I also work in the healthcare field as a care support assistant. I speak English as well as Twi, which is Ghanaian dialog from West Africa. My favourite sport is Basketball.

My friends and colleagues call me Abdou. I’m new to Canada from Algeria in northern Africa. I started my first job in Canada assisting in a COVID clinic and I enjoy serving Francophones and newcomers as a representative and Lead COVID-19 Ambassador for Centre Francophone of Toronto (CFGT). I speak Arabic, French and English. I like football, but don’t practice!
